This role focuses on performing routine (planned) maintenance, including wire management and electronics installation, as well as equipment modification and robustness improvements. The technician will also handle unplanned (breakdown) maintenance, responding to production line calls with a focus on standard equipment sets or mentored execution of more complex tasks. Problem-solving using the 5 why methodology, participating in improvement projects within their area of expertise, and mentoring TPM operators on problem-solving and downtime resolution are key aspects of the position. The role may also require operating AA equipment and other production equipment to support operations. A strong understanding of troubleshooting concepts and the importance of preventive maintenance is essential. The technician will be expected to interface with operators, peers, supervision, and management, and to comply with all procedures pertaining to the work environment, while also designing improvements. They will aid in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex problems, recommending and implementing solutions. Documenting equipment issues using the Autonomous Downtime Dispatch System (ADDS) and informing the Maintenance Supervisor are also required. The technician should set an example in work ethics, skill level, and communication, and maintain a clean work area.
