About The Position

The Preventative Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. This role focuses on preventing equipment failures, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives through scheduled maintenance activities and equipment assessments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years in industrial or equipment maintenance.
• A background in manufacturing or automated production environments is highly desirable.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic systems.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic testing devices.
• Clear verbal and written skills to report equipment issues to supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Equipment: Check machines, tools, and facility systems routinely for wear and tear.
• Service Parts: Lubricate moving parts, change fluids, and replace minor components.
• Run Tests: Test equipment functions using diagnostic tools to make sure they match manufacturer standards.
• Log Work: Record all service activities, inspections, and parts used in computer logs or work order software.
• Follow Safety Rules: Obey workplace safety guidelines, such as lockout/tagout rules and wearing PPE.
