TPC San Antonio opened in January 2010 with two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by two of golf’s most innovative architects: Pete Dye and Greg Norman. Both courses have played host to TOUR events with The Oaks course serving as the host venue of the PGA TOUR’s Valero Texas Open since 2010. The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Equipment Manager and Equipment Technicians in performing routine preventative maintenance and general repairs on Golf Course Maintenance equipment.

Requirements

• High school education diploma or equivalent, trade schools or secondary education or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of basic engine mechanics and maintenance
• Working knowledge of golf course operations and practices helpful
• Be 18 years old and be able to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Assists the Equipment Manager and Equipment Technicians in appropriate preventative and curative maintenance required for all golf course equipment maintenance operations
• Completes daily service records
• Assist with maintaining appropriate parts inventory
• Maintains shop area in a neat and orderly manner, ensuring that the equipment is kept clean, organized, and provides a safe working environment for staff members
• Must be thoroughly trained in the proper procedures of each task before performing such tasks.
• Must follow the guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for each specific task
• Required to wear personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment to comply with established safety operating standards
