About The Position

The Preventative Maintenance Supervisor will have authority to direct the CMI workforce overseeing all preventative maintenance work performed at CMI’s customer site in Beltsville, MD. This role is responsible for the safe, economical operation of the facility and for all persons employed under his/her direction. The supervisor will carry out the orders of management in the operation of the building, manage workloads, plan, supervise, and conduct inspections. They will oversee and assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnoses, and repairs to facilities equipment, fixtures, and property, perform QC inspections and produce QC reports, and oversee all phases of repair work. Additionally, the role involves performing inspections of building equipment and systems, overseeing scheduled maintenance and repair projects, processing work orders, and reviewing project completion to ensure compliance with building standards and customer satisfaction. Maintaining records and preparing required reports, along with performing other management-related duties, are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

High School diploma
At least 5 years of recent (within the past 10 years) experience supervising maintenance, repair, installation and inspection of mechanical systems and equipment within a federal facility with multiple buildings equating to at least 1 million square feet in size.
Experience with Maximo CMMS program
Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Must be able to pass a government background check

Responsibilities

Oversee all maintenance and repair work for the customer facility and staff to include such staff as pipe fitters, HVAC mechanics, boiler mechanics, generator mechanics, plumbers, drywallers, control panel technicians, electricians, general utility mechanics, and steam fitters.
Responsible for the safe, economical operation of the facility and for all persons employed under his/her direction
Will carry out the orders of the management in the operation of the building
Responsible for workload management, planning, supervision and inspections
Oversee and assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnoses and repairs to facilities equipment, fixtures, and property
Perform QC inspections and produce QC reports
Oversee all phases of repair work
Perform inspections of building equipment and systems
Oversee scheduled maintenance and repair projects, and processing work orders
Review project completion to ensure compliance with building standards and to ensure that work meets customer satisfaction
Maintain records and prepare required reports
Perform other management related duties as required
