About The Position
Prince George County is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Pretrial/Probation Services Technician. This position will be a Part-Time Regular position and will be responsible for providing data entry and clerical support to pretrial/probation staff, greeting visitors and assisting with matters relative to department programs and services.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to make decisions and interpretations in accordance with established rules, policies, and procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with offenders, stakeholders, and the general public
- Graduation from high school
- A minimum of two years of related clerical or office support experience
- Customer service experience
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License
Nice To Haves
- An associate’s degree in business, criminal justice or social work, or a related field
- Possession of VCIN certification within 6 months from date of hire
