About The Position

The Pretreatment Energy Engineer will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential pretreatment production related energy risks, proposing solutions for successful energy continuous improvement project outcomes, and analyzing project specifications and blueprints. This role involves supporting pretreatment production energy-related materials utility, tracking, and processing on-site energy projects, including baseline review and plan assessment. The engineer will conduct energy audits and assessments to quantify consumption and recommend savings, implement Procore for tracking energy usage, and train associates on energy utility control and energy-saving measures. Responsibilities also include running an on-site energy control plan, managing energy audits and work orders, ensuring equipment utility compliance with safety policies, and adhering to the Responsible Care Management System. The role also involves planning daily production, running pre-shift meetings, participating in equipment maintenance, assisting with procurement, and creating maintenance direction for associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or closely related discipline.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in the automotive glass manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in improving and optimizing the energy efficiency of general equipment such as air compressors, pump units, and fans.
  • Experience in energy auditing and efficiency evaluation, independently performing energy consumption data analysis.
  • Experience in energy data collection, compilation, and analysis, knowledgeable in key energy performance indicators.
  • Knowledgeable in energy audit methodologies and processes, capable of independently conducting onsite inspections, data diagnostics, and report preparation.
  • Team management and cross-departmental coordination, with the ability to lead teams to achieve established energy efficiency goals.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and mitigating potential pretreatment production related energy risks and proposing solutions to ensure successful energy continuous improvement project outcomes.
  • Analyzing and participating in energy continuous improvement project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to determine project requirements and constraints.
  • Supporting pretreatment production energy-related materials utility, tracking, and processing on-site energy project baseline, and reviewing baseline, specifications, and project plans.
  • Conducting energy audits and assessments to quantify energy consumption and recommend energy-saving practices and measures.
  • Implementing Procore to track and inspect inspections of on-site energy usage (electricity allocation, water consumption, hazard chemical material management, etc.).
  • Training on-site associates on pretreatment energy utility control and installing energy-saving or safety measures.
  • Running an on-site energy control plan and conducting energy-saving practices to pretreatment daily production.
  • Managing detailed energy audits, assessments, and work orders assigned as scheduled according to the technical specifications of the projects.
  • Identifying and scheduling key equipment’s utility is in accordance with company safety policies, ensuring the safe and continuous operation of all machinery.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Responsible Care Management System, including the establishment of policies and procedures, assigning responsibilities, and tracking progress.
  • Conducting and planning the daily production plan and running pre-shift meetings.
  • Participating in on-site equipment maintenance and assisting in the procurement of process equipment.
  • Creating grind whiteboard maintenance and direction for associates.
