About The Position

Knife River is hiring a Prestress Millwright to help maintain and repair plants and equipment. The work includes hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic repairs, as well as welding. The position is safety-sensitive and takes place in an industrial environment with large equipment and suspended loads. The regular hours are 6:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M., with the ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, off shifts, and weekends. Employees must follow safety policies and procedures, complete necessary paperwork, and perform other duties as assigned. Candidates must provide their own basic hand tools; Knife River provides required specialty or large tools and has a replacement policy. Requirements

Previous plant maintenance, millwright, or mechanic experience.
Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical and hydraulic systems.
Clean driving record.
Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam, and drug screen.
Professional and courteous attitude toward all team members.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, off shifts, and weekends.
Must have basic hand tools.

Nice To Haves

Welding and fabrication experience.
