About The Position

Republic Extrusions/Team Pride Extrusions is a leader in providing high-quality aluminum extrusion products and services tailored for various industrial needs. The Press Utility position assists in the overall operation of the extrusion process as determined by the Press Team Leader.

Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude
Understanding of extrusion production processes
Good communication in a team environment
Critical thinking skills
Must be goal oriented in order to achieve daily production targets
High School diploma preferred
2 years of experience in an extrusion setting
Ability to effectively communicate and work with team members in a bilingual environment (with the use of an interpreter as needed)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ability to operate computer and/or electronic based machine controls as well as basic computer skills for the use of production software

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment around the entire extrusion area
Identify and report safety concerns to the Extrusion Manager
Identify and report maintenance needs to Extrusion Manager
Assist with preventive maintenance on all extrusion equipment
Assume the duties of any press team member for break and lunch periods as well as in the case of absences
Assist in the duties of any press team member as needed when workload becomes too great to complete in a timely manner
Interpretation of production schedules, work orders and drawings
Maintain a good attendance record
Other duties as assigned
