Requirements

  • Will consider any manufacturing background (metal, stamping, assembly).
  • Auto industry experience preferred.
  • Hands-on supervisor position overseeing up to 30 employees.
  • Experience in implementing & maintaining Lean Manufacturing practices, 5S, Just-in-time, Production Reporting etc.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • Good math skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in setting up or operating presses is a plus.
  • At least two (2) years as a machine operator preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing department operations, including part quality and part delivery, labor cost control, material usage and inventory accuracy.
  • Arranging a job line up to meet customer requirements prior to the start of shift, considering available material, equipment, and manpower, including skills.
  • Reviewing work orders with staff throughout the shift to ensure correct form completion.
  • Reviewing work at every phase in the process to ensure quality.
  • Completing daily attendance sheets.
  • Reviewing ship list, work orders, schedules, etc. with office assistant.
  • Ensuring all plant activities are carried out in compliance with ISO/TS-16949 Standards.
  • Providing teaching and coaching to meet the plant’s major objectives regarding productivity, quality, and delivery.
  • Being knowledgeable of and complying with Company Quality/Environmental System and procedures, work instructions, and policies applicable to daily work activities.
  • Overseeing all operations as it pertains to manufacturing.
  • Coordinating work flow and daily schedule through the manufacturing manager and forepersons.
  • Handling disciplinary concerns in coordination with HR.
  • Handling quality, receiving, and shipping problems as they arise.
  • Ensuring incoming and outgoing material is handled and labeled correctly.
