About The Position

Home Run Inn Pizza is looking for a reliable and experienced Line Lead to work in our Press Room within our Food Production Facility located in Woodridge, IL. This role is responsible for performing duties to prepare frozen pizzas, ensuring the safety and quality of the product, and coordinating the activities of production team members. The Line Lead will also assist the Production Supervisor with daily operations, motivate and guide production associates, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to read and write legibly and communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to use utility knife, large dough knife, hand jacks, industrial mixers, and scales.
  • Must have computer skills & ability to use printers, hand scanners & other technology related tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
  • Must be able to work in a wet, hot, or cold environment for long periods of time.
  • Must always follow safety rules, no exceptions.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties to prepare frozen pizzas.
  • Ensure the area assigned is free from any safety hazards.
  • Communicate and escalate any safety related items to supervisor.
  • Ensure that finished products are consistently manufactured meeting prescribed standards (compliant) with quality, safety, and good manufacturing practices, on time and meeting consumer expectations.
  • Setup of machinery and break down at the end of the shift.
  • Learn and perform all production related tasks in the assigned area, including mixing, operating press machines, set up/adjustments of depositing machines, operating/adjusting packaging equipment, etc.
  • Generate inventory tickets throughout the day to determine materials used and establish production levels for the day.
  • Monitor, update or record batch, material or other related production paperwork.
  • Establish appropriate expiration dates for finished product coding.
  • Monitor ingredient levels and escalate shortages or other issues that could arise.
  • Operate hand jack or other related equipment to move pallets from one location to another.
  • Assist with die changes or material changes on the production line as needed.
  • Keep the work area in a clean and in organized condition.
  • Organize team in different positions and when breakdowns occur, act with urgency.
  • Coordinate the activities of production team members across designated area.
  • Provide shift communication via huddles, startup meeting, and shut down meetings.
  • Effectively assist the Production Supervisor on the daily operations, ensure exchange of information for alignment with the objectives in the short term and medium and long term to achieve production plan and to identify and achieve performance improvements.
  • Motivate, guide, support and coach Production Associates to achieve daily goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
