About The Position

Amsted Automotive is seeking a Press Operator with a safety mindset and strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading measurements, effective at problem-solving, and a team player. Press operators are responsible for unloading powder metal presses, inspecting parts, and performing quality checks to ensure parts meet specific tolerances. Multiple openings are available on different shifts. Work is performed in a typical manufacturing environment with continuous exposure to heat, dirt, grease, oils, fluids, and noise.

Requirements

Manual dexterity, visual acuity, mental alertness.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand on feet for 8 hours and work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

Process quality parts on powder metal presses of related equipment.
Use calibrated gauges to properly check and record production on specific tolerances as required by process documentation.
Follow all safety rules and keep work area clean and in an orderly condition.
Help train and assist operators as required.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
