About The Position

The Press Operator operates and maintains a hydraulic or mechanical press to shape, form, or cut metal and other materials according to specifications. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. The position is based in Springfield, Tennessee, and is identified as a 2nd-shift role with a 4x10 schedule from 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Requirements

• Two years of manufacturing production experience.
• Active driver’s license.
• Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach, and repetitively lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to read and write English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Pass Lock out/Tag out requirements.
• Use basic troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
• Set up and operate press machines according to production specifications and work orders.
• Work within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
• Receive verbal and written information.
• Complete necessary documentation and communicate accurately and in a timely manner.
• Understand written instructions and communicate those instructions to others.
