About The Position

Vishay Dale Electronics in Columbus, Nebraska, is seeking a Press Operator to produce products that meet quality and customer expectations. The role operates and tends production equipment, including punch presses and feed systems, cut-off saws, and deburring machines, to make production parts from various metals and non-metallic materials. The position is scheduled for second shift, Monday through Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Overtime is available as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to accurately identify different types of raw materials.
Ability to calculate material and finished-product counts using basic math skills and a calculator.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with punch presses, pressroom terminology, equipment, and processes.

Responsibilities

Run an appropriate sample after setup and ensure inspection is performed as required by the applicable specification.
Run assigned products.
Operate manual-feed presses and/or RH lines when assigned, according to the applicable specification.
Set up the stamping line according to specifications and ensure the correct raw materials are present.
When appropriate, advise die makers of the setup required for the product being run.
Load coil stock material onto the de-reeler and feed it into the dies at the proper location to ensure tool care.
Use machine tools and equipment, including a lathe, high-speed punch press, cut-off saw, and deburring equipment.
