About The Position

This role involves operating hydraulic and mechanical presses to produce high-quality components. The Press Operator will work from blueprints, route sheets, and written instructions, demonstrating strong attention to detail. The position requires setting up and running presses ranging from 150 to 1,200 tons, performing rubber-to-metal stamping, and working with various materials. Quality verification using quantitative charting methods like SPC and precision measuring tools is essential. Basic computer skills are needed for labor transactions and system functions.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or quality preferred, but not necessary - we'll train you!
  • Ability to work from blueprints, route sheets, and written instructions.
  • Ability to set up and run hydraulic and mechanical presses ranging from 150 tons to 1,200 tons.
  • Ability to perform rubber-to-metal stamping.
  • Ability to work with various materials, including Inconel (Inco), AM350, and titanium strip stock with thicknesses ranging from .001" to .008".
  • Ability to perform set-ups and conduct in-process inspections.
  • Ability to maintain set-ups and make minor adjustments.
  • Ability to verify product quality using quantitative charting methods such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and a range of precision measuring tools, including contour readers and non-contact measuring systems.
  • Basic computer skills for labor transactions and system functions.

Responsibilities

  • Work from blueprints, route sheets, and written instructions to produce high-quality components.
  • Set up and run hydraulic and mechanical presses ranging from 150 tons to 1,200 tons.
  • Perform rubber-to-metal stamping.
  • Work with various materials, including Inconel (Inco), AM350, and titanium strip stock with thicknesses ranging from .001" to .008".
  • Perform set-ups (or request assistance for complex set-ups).
  • Conduct in-process inspections per ES Specifications.
  • Maintain set-ups and make minor adjustments as needed.
  • Verify product quality using quantitative charting methods such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and a range of precision measuring tools, including contour readers and non-contact measuring systems.
  • Use basic computer skills to perform labor transactions and other required system functions.
