Press Operator (Stamping) - 2nd Shift

Fisher Dynamics is currently seeking a Press Operator on 2nd shift for our Sterling Heights, MI facility. The position is responsible for loading, setting up, and operating stamping presses to run production and produce quality output. The department is structured as a formal team, and requires the ability to work within the team.
Requirements
- Ability to follow established procedures
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
- Knowledge of IATF16949 quality standards
- Must be able to operate stamping press, use hand tools, overhead crane and gauges
- Problem solving and troubleshooting using creativity and past practice
- Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees
- Ability to work effectively with people
- Computer skills and math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks are required
- Safety glasses and hearing protection required.
- Other safety equipment required on an as needed basis
Nice To Haves
- Three to Five years’ experience running coil fed progressive presses preferred
- overhead crane is a plus
Responsibilities
- Operate coil fed stamping presses, and use hand tools, metrology equipment, cranes, and plasma cutters.
- Assist Die Setters with die changes
- Check parts and document results to verify and record quality
- Perform troubleshooting activities to presses
- Perform basic housekeeping to keep area clean and safe, including scrap containers
- Various other duties as required by the department
- Park parts and use hi-lo to move material
