Mission/Objective: Become the Expert on Operate Presses to Develop, Audit and Improve Press Controls Standards and conduct OJT for all TMs.

Requirements

  • Proved Team Leader experience (1 Year)
  • Experience with Metalsa Operating System: On the Job Training, Team Leader Board, Poke Yokes, Standardized Work, Work instructions, Job Safety Analysis, etc.
  • Train the trainer certification
  • High School degree/diploma
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving, planning, team orientation and presentation skills
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point)
  • Safety and Quality oriented
  • Good organizational and time skills
  • Metalsa Operating System
  • Prompt and regular attendance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
  • Basic Lean Manufacturing (TPS)
  • Capacity to manage resources and activities in order to obtain results
  • Capable of performing in a fast paced, high stressed environment
  • Training and people development
  • Must be willing to work overtime with little or no notice (no 2-day notice)
  • Discipline and Accountability Enforcement
  • Able to work any shift
  • Ability to communicate effectively and use hands for various tasks.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs., carry, stand, walk, and reach as needed.
  • Average vision abilities required for various tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Builds a work environment that encourages team motivation and engagement
  • Enforce compliance with basic rules and expected behaviors
  • Conducts On the Job Training and manage JQM process
  • Develop, Audit and Improve Standard Work of Press Operation Controls
  • Develop, Audit, and Improve 5s Standards on each press and Rework Areas
  • Leads Shift Start Up meetings and keeps TL Board updated
  • Guarantees a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and practices
  • Ensures BIQ through the application of quality control practices and addresses quality problems or defects
  • Ensure Escalation policy for Safety, Performance and Quality
  • Strives to reach safety, quality, and productivity goals
