About The Position

Boone Steel is a 48-year-old metal supply company that performs value-added services such as plasma cutting, break press, shear, saw cutting, and metal fabrication. We prioritize customer service, safety, honesty, and family values. We are looking to add to our Metal Processing Department that handles the Press Break and Plasma Table.

Requirements

Experienced CNC Press Brake Operator
Experienced CNC Plasma Table Operator
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Knowledge of CNC programming and machine controls.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment as required.
Basic math skills and understanding of measurements.
Physically able to operate, load and unload machines.
Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Nice To Haves

Preferably have at least 3 years experience in a machine shop environment at a minimum.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC Accupres Press Brake and Shear to manufacture parts to required specifications.
Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates.
Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules.
Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available.
Measures and aligns materials to be used.
Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Performs routine maintenance on the press brake.
Maintains a clean work area.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Proven experience as a CNC plasma table operator or similar role in a metal fabrication environment.
