About The Position

Operation of brake presses, operation of forklifts, lead part development and prototyping for new products, the ability to interpret complex technical drawings/blueprints and developing creative tooling and setup processes to manufacture parts to required specifications. The employee will also be responsible for performing quality checks and ensuring that parts meet the highest standards of efficiency and quality. Employees must follow standard work instructions and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Requirements

• Must be able to use small hand tools, such as grinders, drills and gages
• Must be able to read blueprints, calipers & micrometers
• Must be able to accurately complete all required Modineer production system documentation such as production reports, inspection reports, etc.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings/blueprints
• Develop press brake tooling setups and optimal bending sequences
• Lead part development and prototyping efforts
• Assist in creating work instructions for production staff
• Read and understand work instructions
• Load and unload parts
• Change different types of punches & dies
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Handle/lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis
• Perform product quality checks in accordance with work instructions.
• Package parts per specifications
• Use small hand-held tools to make minor adjustments to parts
• Read and understand measurement devices
