About The Position

Southern CaseArts is growing and looking for dependable, hands-on individuals to join their team as Press Brake Operators. They offer competitive pay along with retention-based incentives. New hires are eligible for a one-time retention bonus of $500 after 90 days, $500 after 6 months, and $1,000 after 1 year of employment.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools or equipment
• Willingness to learn and take direction in a hands-on environment
• Ability to read blueprints or a desire to learn
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with overtime as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Comfortable working on concrete floors in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive movements
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating press brakes or similar machinery
• Background in manufacturing, fabrication, or sheet metal work
• Experience using measuring tools (tape measures, micrometers, protractors)
• Forklift experience
• Experience with ERP systems (NAV or similar)

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal parts
• Work from blueprints and job specifications to produce quality parts
• Inspect parts and perform quality checks throughout production
• Make machine adjustments as needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Identify and report any defects or material issues
• Load materials and assist with material handling
• Use our system to track completed jobs and apply labels
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
