Southern Specialties is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our Weekend Team in our clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. In this role, you'll work with advanced CNC press brake equipment to produce high-quality sheet metal components that meet tight tolerances and demanding customer expectations. Requirements
- Previous press brake, fabrication, or metal forming experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on the shop floor
- Willingness to work overtime when business needs require it
- Dependable, team-oriented attitude

- Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines and checking procedures.
- Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
- The handling, packaging, processing, storage, disposal or transport of hazardous material
- The operation of a motor vehicle, other vehicle, equipment, machinery or power tools
Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating CNC hydraulic press brake equipment
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work instructions
- Selecting and installing the proper punches, dies, and tooling for each job
- Loading and running programs independently
- Producing parts that meet strict dimensional and quality requirements
- Deburring and finishing parts as needed
- Monitoring quality throughout production runs
- Using materials efficiently to minimize waste and scrap
- Working safely while helping maintain an organized work area
