About The Position

Operates press brake machines to bend and form metals to meet customer specification. This is a full-time position with a required schedule of Monday-Thursday 3pm-1am.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months to 2 years press brake experience.
• Must be able to read complex blueprints and perform complex mathematical calculations.
• Advanced knowledge of press brake and use basic quality inspection equipment including calipers, protractors, and micrometers.
• Ability to follow instructions, read, and write.
• Must be able to work 2nd shift Monday-Thursday 3pm-1am.

Responsibilities

• Follow and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Confers with Press brake Set-up person regarding how job is to be run and what dimensions to maintain.
• Performs back gauge calibration and resets counters.
• Runs first piece and takes to inspection or certified operator for approval.
• After 1st piece approval adjust machines if necessary, seeking assistance from Set-up Person when needed, and runs job.
• Using measuring equipment, checks specified dimensions on parts and plots them on SPC charts to track quality of product and process.
• Fills out all required production paperwork and records.
• Maintains work area in clean and safe condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
