About The Position

Wardcraft is looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join their team. The role involves operating CNC press brakes to bend and shape metal sheets and plates according to specifications. The operator will also be responsible for programming and running press brakes using a Delem control, reading and interpreting blueprints and work orders, selecting and installing proper tooling, and inspecting finished parts for quality. Additionally, the position may require operating laser cutting and deburring machines, performing routine maintenance, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The job offers a choice of two shifts and requires regular overtime and occasional weekend work.

Requirements

Prior experience operating a press brake, ideally with a Delem control
Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment with exposure to fumes, noise, and temperature extremes
Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 75 lbs

Nice To Haves

Experience with laser cutting and deburring equipment a plus

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC press brakes to bend and shape metal sheets and plates to spec
Program and run press brakes using a Delem control
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine job specifications
Select and install proper tooling and dies for each job
Position and align material accurately, adjusting machine settings as needed
Inspect finished parts for quality and conformity, and correct any inconsistencies
Operate the laser cutting machine as needed
Run the deburr machine to finish parts
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and keep the work area clean and organized
Follow all safety guidelines and company quality standards
