About The Position

CompX National is hiring a Press Brake Operator for the second shift. This role involves setting up, adjusting, and operating a press brake machine, reading technical drawings, and ensuring the quality of finished parts. The operator will also be responsible for maintaining the machine and work area, and may be asked to perform other machining jobs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience operating a press brake is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Setup, adjust and operate press brake machine
• Read technical drawings, work orders, design specifications
• Select and install correct punches, dies and tooling configurations
• Configure inputs into computer numerical control
• Use measuring tools to check finished parts
• Clean tooling, grease moving parts and keep a clean and tidy work area
• Willingness to perform other machining jobs if necessary
