About The Position

ProAmpac is hiring a Press Assistant to support press machine setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. The assistant prepares machinery by setting up tools, mounting and demounting plates, preparing and loading raw materials, and adjusting settings as directed by the primary operator. The role monitors machine operation, reports issues or malfunctions, and may temporarily operate the machine during shift changes or as needed. The position supports quality, efficiency, and safety standards. No experience is required; 1–2 years of manufacturing experience is preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a stated pay range of $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup, including setting up tools, mounting and demounting plates, preparing and loading raw materials, and adjusting settings as directed by the primary operator.
• Monitor press machine operations and notify the primary operator or supervisor of issues or malfunctions.
• Temporarily run the machine during shift changes or as necessary.
• Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting to support proper machine operation and maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
