About The Position

The Presidential Executive Assistant provides high-level, strategic, and confidential administrative support to the President of the University. This role serves as a primary liaison between the President and internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the efficient operation of the President’s Office and advancing institutional priorities. The Assistant exercises sound judgment, discretion, and initiative while managing complex schedules, communications, and executive-level projects. This position requires professionalism, executive presence, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced higher education environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive executive-level administrative experience, preferably in higher education, nonprofit, or government settings.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the President’s complex calendar, including scheduling meetings, events, travel, and strategic engagements.
  • Prepare agendas, briefing materials, background documents, and executive summaries.
  • Draft, edit, and manage high-level correspondence, speeches, and official communications.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, itineraries, and expense documentation.
  • Assist in coordinating Board of Trustees meetings, including preparation of materials, minutes, and follow-up items.
  • Support Cabinet meetings and executive leadership sessions by preparing documentation and tracking action items.
  • Maintain organized records of official board and executive documents.
  • Track key presidential initiatives and ensure timely follow-up on strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with university leadership to gather reports, data, and materials for presidential review.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure deliverables are completed efficiently.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the President’s Office.
  • Facilitate communication between the President and faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors, trustees, and community leaders.
  • Ensure consistent, professional messaging aligned with institutional goals.
  • Handle highly confidential information related to personnel, governance, legal matters, and strategic planning.
  • Maintain discretion and uphold institutional integrity at all times.
