The President of Mercy Fitzgerald and Saint Francis Hospitals (Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic South (THMA South)) is responsible and accountable for executive leadership and operational direction to the Regional Health Ministry (RHM) that consists of the two hospitals and communities they serve within the regional operating structure. As a member of the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic executive team, the President actively engages in the creation and execution of strategies that enhance Trinity Health’s impact within Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic South. As the accountable executive for THMA South, this leader is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic and operating plans that align with regional objectives, reflect community needs, achieve organizational goals and advance the philosophy, mission and vision of Trinity Health. Fosters an environment that promotes and ensures excellence in the care experience and operational efficiencies within a variety of delivery settings. As the THMA South executive leader, the President provides leadership and guidance to the Hospitals' senior leadership team, enabling collaborative planning, innovation and decision-making. The President creates an organizational culture that celebrates diversity and a community of committed persons serving the healing ministry with focus on competencies that support values of respect, social justice, care of the poor and underserved, compassion and excellence. Ensures effective governance and establishes a participative management and engaged organizational climate that develops and maintains talent and inclusiveness within THMA South and throughout the region. Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is a 178-bed teaching hospital located in Darby, Pa., which offers advanced acute care services in Delaware County and Southwest Philadelphia. About Saint Francis Hospital Sainta Francis is a 146 beds hospital that for 100 years, has served the Wilmington community and Northern New Castle County by providing compassionate health care of the highest quality. Founded by the Sisters of Saint Francis of Philadelphia in 1924, Saint Francis heeds a particular call to serve those in need. Our ministry is to serve all who require expert medical care regardless of religion, race, color, creed or economic status. A member of Trinity Health, Saint Francis offers emergency care, cardiology, cancer care, family medicine and women’s health among other services. Healthy Village at Saint Francis Hospital Healthy Villages are communities of varying scale created at the intersection of neighborhood planning and community health. The partners are typically organized and engaged according to investments in the Social Influencers of Health: Economic stability (e.g., meaningful jobs and careers) Safe neighborhoods (e.g., housing, transportation, parks, retail services) Education (from literacy to higher education and everything in-between) Food security (including good nutrition) Social support (e.g., childcare, adult daycare) Health care (e.g., emergency services, short-term stays including observation beds, post-acute care such as behavioral health and skilled nursing, primary care, care management and access to quality specialty care when needed) Trinity Health: Mid-Atlantic and Holy Cross Health Maryland To leverage skill and scale and expand services across a broader geography, in May 2024, Trinity Health combined the responsibility for its Mid-Atlantic Region (Pennsylvania and Delaware) and its Holy Cross Health in Maryland Region under one Regional Health Ministry (RHM) leadership team. Combined, these two regions have six hospitals, as well as, associated clinics, medical offices, specialized facilities, affiliated institutions, and foundations, representing approximately 10,400 colleagues across three states, with approximately $1.7B in total revenue. These facilities and colleagues serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within their communities.
