About The Position

The President of Chorus Community Health Plan is responsible for the overall performance and success of the organization’s health plan. This role directs the development and implementation of strategies and related business plans to ensure achievement of the health plan's goals and objectives while maintaining its financial health. This role collaborates and partners with leaders across the System to seek out opportunities to align System and health plan strategic initiatives in an effort to ensure an integrated system of care. Additionally, this role establishes effective relationships with external stakeholders, including providers, government partners, community organizations, vendors and members to fulfill the mission of the health plan.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business or related field with highly developed leadership facilitation, communication, planning, and presentation skills
  • 15+ years of experience in a managed care or healthcare environment.
  • 5+ years progressive leadership responsibility in managed care operations.
  • Extensive experience with Medicaid programs and their regulations, guidelines and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high-level strategic plans and implement operational structure to meet objectives and goals.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to build effective teams and develop a high-performing organization.
  • Strong business acumen with knowledge in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technologies and information affecting the health systems, health care and the health of populations.
  • Experience in health plan operations.
  • Demonstrated track record of success with the following leadership competencies: Business Insights, Strategic Mindset, Plans & Aligns, Ensures Accountability, Develops Talent, Manages Ambiguity and Courage.
  • Ability to clearly and succinctly communicate the operational and strategic results and goals of the organization.
  • Comfort in working with executive leaders from a variety of levels and functions within the health system.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills to support the success of teams as well as the individual success of the team members.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills to effectively interact with staff, administrators, medical staff and employees at all levels.
