About The Position

RR Donnelley is seeking Presentation Designers to join their Menlo Park team. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The Presentation Designer will be responsible for creating templates, backgrounds, and presentations that incorporate information graphics, charts, metaphorical graphics, and diagrams for a global investment banking client. The primary tool used will be PowerPoint, with secondary use of Adobe Creative Suite software. Presentations will cover a range of materials including RFPs, company pitches, and internal documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in area relative to the business or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 4 years of professional presentation or graphic design experience
  • Excellent design sense and awareness of current design trends
  • Capable of translating complex data in a visually compelling way
  • Understands the importance of brand and can work within established standards
  • Adaptability and willingness to pitch in where needed
  • Ability to make independent decisions and use problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Deadline management which includes managing wait times and turnaround times (TAT)
  • Handle technical queries
  • High proficiency knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
  • Experience with charting in excel

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of After Effects is a huge plus
  • Video editing and/or sound editing skills are a plus
  • Knowledge of print design a plus
  • Financial industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality pitch books, presentations, and client memoranda
  • Import and revise graphics files as necessary
  • Create and edit multi-page/multi-section documents using templates and style sheets for pitchbooks, graphs, charts, presentations, and other print/design projects
  • Maintain all job and production tracking data via a proprietary RRD Tracking tool
  • Coordinate workflow within the team, including prioritizing jobs and delegating duties to associates
  • Monitor workflow to ensure jobs are completed efficiently, accurately, and within deadlines
  • Assess incoming requests selecting the best resources for successful completion
  • Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information
  • Train new employees on policies and procedures
  • Communicate with manager and client on job or deadline issues
  • Assist with monthly metrics and reporting
  • May work with motion graphics and multimedia work
