About The Position

The Prescription Benefit Representative supports TrueScripts' members in accessing the lowest cost medications through programs. This position is responsible for coordinating the administrative process associated with seeking lowest cost opportunities, communicating with members and healthcare providers, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring applications and follow-up activities are completed timely and accurately.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Understanding of plan benefits

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, pharmacy, insurance, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or insurance benefits related setting preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Work with members to identify lowest cost medications right for them.
  • Conduct outreach to members to gather required information needed to get their medications at lowest cost.
  • Communicate with physician offices, pharmacies, to help get members the right medications.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within applicable systems and workflows.
  • Monitor cost containment program queues and ensure tasks are completed within established timeframes.
  • Complete refill or renewal outreach as required by individual cost containment programs.
  • Prepare and maintain reports and metrics related to cost containment program activity.
  • Perform administrative duties including faxing, mailing, scanning, data entry, documentation, and other outreach activities.
  • Protect member privacy and maintain confidentiality of all members and patient information.
  • Work collaboratively with Clinical team members to identify opportunities to assist members with medication affordability.
  • Provide a high level of service and compassion when working with members who may be experiencing financial or medication-access challenges.
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient assistance processes, workflows, and the member experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.
