About The Position

Lyra Clinical Associates partners with Lyra Health, a leading provider of evidence-based mental health care, serving millions globally. Lyra is transforming access to life-changing mental health care through Lyra Empower, an AI-powered platform combining care and technology. You will be contracted by Lyra Clinical Associates. Lyra’s contract provider network includes therapists, physicians, psychiatrists, and coaches across the US. We are looking for contract nurse practitioners (NPs) or certified physician assistants (PA-C) passionate about whole-person, whole family mental health care. As a contract provider, you’ll provide evidence-based treatment via intake and follow-up appointments for children (ages 0-17) and adults. You'll conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management. Lyra facilitates referrals to therapy and coaching services. You will provide culturally-responsive care to individuals from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and abilities.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited (CCNE) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program; OR graduate from an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE
  • Unrestricted state license without current, past, or pending disciplinary action
  • A minimum of 2 years in practice
  • Must have office space with ability to see clients in Columbia, MO
  • Full-time resident of the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or other academic psychiatry certificate program completion, including a Doctor of Medical Science with Psychiatry concentration
  • Active DEA license
  • Additional certification or clinical experience with minors (ages 0-17)
  • Providers who offer in-person options

Responsibilities

  • Practice comprehensive mental health medication management via an intake appointment and regular follow-up appointments
  • Conduct mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and longitudinal medication treatment
  • Construct patient-centered treatment plans, document treatment recommendations, message patients, and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
  • Provide safe, evidence-based medication treatment that follows clinical best practice guidelines (e.g., measurement based care, patient-centered care, paying close attention, medication minimizing risks, and maximizing benefits)
  • Work with minors (ages 0-17) in addition to adults
  • Provide care to patients with a full range of diagnoses, clinical complexity, and severity levels
