Flexible Schedule Preschool Teaching Assistant
About The Position
Spend your days with bright and energetic kiddos in your role as Preschool Assistant Teacher at our partner daycare and preschool. Are you a natural teacher or caregiver for young children? Do you giggle and get excited to see the wonder in children's eyes when playing make-believe, doing craft projects, or hearing a book for the first time? Do you need a flexible part-time schedule? Preschool Assistant Teacher positions are available working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. If you have experience as a babysitter, summer nanny, church nursery, or camp counselor, we'd like to hear from you!
Requirements
- Available at least 3 days per week (M–F) to work 4 - 9 hour shifts between 9am - 5:30pm
- Genuinely enjoy children and are an engaging, creative, child-focused individual who is willing to have fun, play, read, do arts and crafts, and similar activities
- At least 1 year of childcare experience as a babysitter, nanny, camp counselor, teacher or similar responsible caring
- Can provide 3 references, 2 related to working with children, paid or unpaid, as well as 1 character reference
- At least 18 years of age or older
Responsibilities
- Care for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 years
- Engage in hands-on activities based on the children’s interests and skills
- Ensure the safety and engagement of children within your care
- Work with children of all walks of life and backgrounds
