About The Position

Lifesteps, a local non-profit agency in Butler, PA is currently hiring a full-time (12 month) Preschool Teacher who will work Monday through Friday, daylight hours, to prepare children for kindergarten. Normal hours are 8 am until 4:30 pm at our childcare center - year round position. This preschool teacher position will assist in the classroom with lesson planning, scheduling, and daily activities. The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a quality-driven, developmentally-appropriate early education experience that supports all children regardless of their diverse abilities, and their families. This position will also serve in the capacity of Assistant Group Supervisor (child care staff) as needed to meet ratio in a particular classroom and float throughout the different preschool classrooms, if needed in Butler center.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education OR Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Family Studies, History, Art Therapy, or a Related Field
Ability to obtain Private Academic License through the PA Dept of Education
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Clearances required

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years is preferred

Responsibilities
