About The Position
The Goddard School in Macedonia is seeking an energetic, nurturing, and passionate individual to join our team as a Part-Time Preschool Teacher. This role involves working with children aged 0-10 years in a preschool setting, with flexible scheduling to accommodate college classes. We are committed to providing a safe, dynamic, and nurturing environment that fosters growth for early educational leaders. The position offers 10-20 hours per week, with work shifts ranging from 2-8 hours.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year college degree program in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
- Current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching credential
- Currently enrolled in a CDA or degreed program
- Knowledge of childcare programming, safety and emergency first-aid procedures, program management and customer service principles
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily operations of assigned classes.
- Plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment.
- Work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.
- Observe children's interests and collaborate with other teachers to develop creative ideas for an engaging curriculum.
- Communicate with parents daily about their children's activities and achievements through various channels, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
- Engage with other child care professionals to foster professional growth.
