About The Position

Are you an early childhood educator, passionate about creating a nurturing learning environment for young children ages 3-5? At ACAP, we’ve been empowering children and families through early childhood education for nearly 60 years. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be an essential part of a child’s journey, laying the foundation for lifelong success. ACAP is hiring full-time Preschool Teachers for 10-month positions at our early childhood education centers in Albany County, New York.

Requirements

Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field with at least 15 hours of ECE coursework required.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a preschool classroom, child care, daycare, or other early childhood education setting is required.

Nice To Haves

A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
Valid driver’s license is a plus.
Bi- or Multi-lingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities that inspire curiosity and creativity in the classroom for children ages 3-5.
Complete child education plans, assessments, progress notes, and other required documentation.
Create and maintain a safe, healthy environment, ensuring adequate supervision in all indoor/outdoor activities and compliance with all safety and licensing standards.
Build strong parent/guardian-teacher relationships with regular communication and collaboration to ensure every child’s growth, development, and well-being are supported both in and out of the classroom.
