About The Position
Exciting things are happening at Tri-County Head Start! This summer, our Durango program will be moving into a brand new, state-of-the-art child care facility, designed with top-notch early learning spaces as well as modern safety and security features to support quality early childhood education, collaboration, and care. This is a wonderful opportunity to join our team during an exciting season of growing and shaping a fresh learning environment for children, families, and staff. The Preschool Teacher leads in a classroom setting, creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. Plans daily classroom routines, activities, and lessons to engage children and support their social, emotional, and developmental needs. Implements IEPs and curriculum-based assessments.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous experience working with preschool children
- Associate’s in Child Development/ECE or equivalent coursework
- Background checks are required for hire
Responsibilities
- Leads in a classroom setting, creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children.
- Plans daily classroom routines, activities, and lessons to engage children and support their social, emotional, and developmental needs.
- Implements IEPs and curriculum-based assessments.
