Preschool Teacher Multi-Classroom
About The Position
The Multi-Classroom Teacher provides day-to-day instructional support across multiple Preschool and Pre-K classrooms at the Stratford School campus in Laguna Niguel, California. Each morning, the teacher reports to campus and receives an assignment based on coverage needs. Alongside classroom teaching, the teacher may provide general student supervision or assist the Principal with campus operations. The role helps maintain instructional continuity and a safe, nurturing environment for students. This developmental role is intended to prepare candidates for a future Classroom Teacher position. Individuals are expected to work toward and be prepared for placement in a Classroom Teacher role as openings become available. Travel may be required to support nearby Stratford campuses. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with an hourly pay range of $24.25 to $27.00.
Requirements
- Complete 12 ECE semester units (or 18 quarter units), including coursework in Child Growth and Development, Child, Family, and Community, and Program/Curriculum; alternatively, hold a Bachelor's Degree in Early Child Development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Professional, dependable, and flexible.
- Passion for working with young children.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a preschool setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom coverage in Preschool–Pre-K as needed.
- Follow established lesson plans or create new ones for long-term assignments.
- Supervise and engage children to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Support daily classroom routines, including nap and snack times.
- Assist with toileting and diaper changing as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Communicate professionally with students, staff, and families.
- Assist with administrative or campus-wide support tasks as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Work toward and be prepared for placement in a Classroom Teacher role as openings become available.
