About The Position

The Learning Experience – River Vale is seeking an enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team of dedicated early childhood educators. If you're passionate about helping young children learn through purposeful play while building confidence, independence, and kindergarten readiness, we'd love to meet you. Using our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum, you'll create engaging learning experiences that encourage children to explore, ask questions, solve problems, and develop the academic and social-emotional skills they'll carry throughout their educational journey.

Requirements

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education required
Previous experience teaching preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
CPR and First Aid certification preferred

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate preschool lessons
Foster children's language, literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development
Create a safe, welcoming, and organized classroom environment
Encourage creativity, collaboration, independence, and critical thinking through hands-on learning
Observe children's progress and maintain open communication with families
Collaborate with fellow educators and center leadership to provide exceptional care and education
Maintain compliance with all New Jersey licensing regulations and health and safety standards
