About The Position

As a Preschool Teacher (P-3 Certified) at Acelero Learning, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality early childhood education to children ages 3–5. This position offers the opportunity to create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports school readiness and whole-child development. You will work collaboratively with an Assistant Teacher, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure positive outcomes for children of all abilities. Requirements

  • P-3 Teacher Certification (CEAS or Standard)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education OR a related field with at least six (6) ECE courses
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and instructional strategies
  • Ability to create inclusive, engaging learning environments
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Successful completion of physical exam and background checks
  • Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for work-related meetings or events

Responsibilities

  • Implement a child-centered curriculum that promotes active engagement, social-emotional development, and school readiness for all learners.
  • Establish a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom with consistent routines and a print-rich environment that builds literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Use observations, assessments, and anecdotal notes to track progress and tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of children.
  • Address challenging behaviors through observation, prevention strategies, skill-building, and family collaboration.
  • Build strong relationships with families to support children’s learning and development at home and in the classroom.
  • Integrate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt instruction to support children of all abilities.
  • Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times in accordance with Head Start and licensing requirements, including during meals, outdoor play, and field trips.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and analyze child outcomes to inform instruction and improve classroom practices in partnership with leadership.
