About The Position

We’re seeking friendly, enthusiastic candidates to work as Lead Teachers in our Summer Preschool Program with a fabulous team! This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and conducting classes for children ages 3 through 5 years old, with a focus on child-led, open ended, creative indoor and outdoor learning activities. This position works Monday - Thursday from 8:30am to 1:30pm in our Summer in the Park Preschool Program.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or nearly completed degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Two (2) years of experience in teaching or assisting a teacher or equivalent work in a similar position.
Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Previous lead teaching experience in a preschool setting.
Experience in recreation preschool programs or youth camps.
CPR and First Aid Certifications.

Responsibilities

Develop, plan, implement quality play-based program curriculum for preschool aged children.
Focus on creative indoor and outdoor play-based learning activities.
Provide a safe, wholesome, caring and comfortable environment for child participants.
Communicate with parents/caregivers and supervisors.
Adapt and independently problem-solve unanticipated situations.
Track and report program related records.
Provide work direction to other preschool team members.
Request supplies and materials as needed.
Administer basic first aid as needed – training provided!
Other duties as assigned.
