About The Position

The Queen of All Saints Pre-School Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a safe, nurturing, faith-centered, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children enrolled in the pre-school. The Teacher provides classroom leadership, supports children’s academic and social-emotional growth, and models Catholic values through daily interactions and instruction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education practices.
  • Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and administration.
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of the Catholic Church

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Previous experience teaching or leading in a preschool, daycare, or early childhood setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned with early childhood learning standards and the mission of the Queen of All Saints School.
  • Create a positive, welcoming, and Christ-centered classroom environment.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
  • Foster children’s spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Lead classroom routines including circle time, learning centers, meals, rest time, and transitions.
  • Maintain classroom discipline using positive behavior guidance techniques.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
  • Supervise and direct Teacher Aides and classroom volunteers as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and developmental records.
  • Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with licensing and diocesan requirements.
  • Participate in prayer, religious instruction, and Catholic celebrations appropriate for young children.
  • Attend required staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Follow all Queen of All Saints policies, diocesan guidelines, health regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the QAS Principal.
