About The Position
The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards is seeking an experienced Preschool Teacher to inspire young learners through engaging classroom experiences that support kindergarten readiness, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. This role focuses on implementing a high-quality early childhood curriculum while fostering language development, social-emotional growth, problem-solving skills, and school readiness in a nurturing classroom environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or higher required
- Minimum of 90 college credits in Early Childhood Education required
- Prior preschool teaching experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for helping young children learn, grow, and succeed
- Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead a preschool classroom and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Create engaging lessons that support early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Monitor and document children's developmental progress
- Support classroom routines, transitions, and behavior guidance strategies
- Partner with families through regular communication and progress updates
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Follow New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
