About The Position

At Menlo Church, our Preschool Teachers work in collaboration with other staff to plan, prep and implement our 2’s and 3’s programs, which partners with parents and the broader church family to successfully launch students to a lifetime of educational growth and faith in Jesus Christ. Qualified individuals in this position are experienced and passionate about early childhood education, committed to a play-based educational philosophy, and hold a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You must have a thorough understanding of child development and be capable of leading children and families to a deeper understanding of the Gospel message of Christ’s love in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The anticipated start date for this role is summer 2026, with the expectation to assume the position for the fall semester. This role is part time 20-29hrs per week.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience
  • Necessary ECE classes
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to inspire, challenge and engage our students in both cognitive and social-emotional growth.
  • Computer skills a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Master teacher qualified
  • CPR/First Aid Certificate preferred
  • Proficiency with common office applications and collaboration tools, including Google Workspace, Asana, and cloud platforms

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with staff to plan and prep the 2’s and 3’s program in accordance with the beliefs, policies and philosophy of the school.
  • Work in collaboration with other teachers to successfully implement daily programs.
  • Facilitate programs with attention to the needs of individual children with concerns for their interests, handicaps, special talents, individual style and pace of learning.
  • Treat children, staff and parents with respect and maintain an attitude that is positive and supportive.
  • Foster inclusion, and help children to become aware of their roles as integral members of a group.
  • Share responsibility maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and completing needed housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Attend developmental training programs, conferences, courses and other aspects of professional growth.
  • Participate with staff in school-wide functions, such as Open House and Graduation (includes evenings and weekends).
  • Participate in the ongoing evaluation of the children in accordance with school procedures.
  • Attend mandatory Staff meetings and events as scheduled
  • Other duties as assigned
