About The Position

This position is responsible for providing pre-school services for children including personal care, hygiene, learning and development activities and specialized programs. The role involves planning, developing, and teaching pre-school classes, preparing and maintaining records, and ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the child care property. The job requires providing constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner. It also involves developing and implementing age-group program-specific lesson plans, utilizing age-group appropriate discovery areas enriched with program-specific activities, including teacher-made materials and hands-on activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• CDA
• Two years' experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Ability to meet attendance requirements
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language
• Ability to observe children and ensure their safety
• Valid state driver's license
• C.P.R. and First Aid Certification
• Health Card Certification
• Level 2 background screening
