About The Position

Contra Costa Christian Schools (CCCS) is seeking a part-time Preschool Teacher for its campus in Walnut Creek, CA. This is a year-round position that follows the CCCS academic calendar from August through May, including breaks and camps. It is a team-teaching role designed for collaboration and mutual learning in a supportive environment. CCCS Preschool Teachers are expected to be energetic, nurturing, reliable, professional, and passionate about teaching children in a Christ-centered setting, focusing on building a strong foundation for beginning learners.

Requirements

• 12+ ECE Units or higher
• 6 months experience
• CPR Certification
• Commitment to the Christian faith aligning with CCCS statement of faith
• A background check & TB test clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team to implement Preschool and Pre-K curriculum, teach, and administer all required duties for safe and effective operation of the preschool.
• Adapt activities and support to meet the diverse needs of each child.
• Supervise lunch, play time, and other events as assigned.
• Maintain open communication with parents and provide updates on child development.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom to foster a conducive learning environment.
• Follow established protocols for preschool operations.
• Other duties as assigned by the Preschool Director.
