About The Position

Curiosity Academy is growing and seeking passionate Early Childhood Teachers to join our team! We are currently hiring dedicated teachers for: Young Toddler Classroom (1-Year-Old Classroom) Preschool Classroom (3-Year-Old Classroom). At Curiosity Academy, we believe every child has a natural curiosity and desire to explore the world around them. We’re looking for teachers who share these values and have a true passion for guiding toddlers during their earliest stages of learning and development. We are seeking nurturing, energetic teachers who are passionate about early childhood development and committed to helping young children build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that supports children's cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development. You will work collaboratively with fellow teachers, staff, and families to ensure each child receives individualized care and support during these important early years.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, required.
  • Previous experience in Early Childhood Education (2+ years preferred)
  • Strong understanding of early child development and engaging, play-based learning practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Self-motivated with strong sense of independence, responsibility, and initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Conflict-resolution and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (training provided, if not current)
  • Fire and Water Safety Certification (training provided)
  • Ability to obtain required clearances: Background Check, FBI Fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearances, and Mandated Reporter Training

Nice To Haves

  • CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create and facilitate engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
  • Support children's daily routines, including free play, guided activities, diapering/toileting, snacks/meals, and rest time
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom
  • Encourage social-emotional development, independence, problem-solving, and positive peer interactions
  • Observe, assess, and document developmental progress and milestones
  • Maintain open, professional communication with families regarding children's growth and experiences
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to create a consistent, high-quality learning environment
  • Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
  • Assist in other classrooms and school activities as needed
