About The Position

We're launching Preschool For All (free, high-quality preschool programs) at Gabriel Park and Hawthorne this August. We need passionate French-speaking educators to make it happen. We're hiring 2 complementary positions that work together. Both roles are 100% French immersion—with kids and among staff.

This isn't just a job—you're launching PFA, making free, quality preschool real for families in Multnomah County. You'll work in a mission-driven team, own your classroom language practice, and help shape what PFA looks like across five campuses. We're building something that matters!

Requirements

• Lead Teacher = Step 7 minimum
• Assistant Teacher = Step 5 minimum
• Lead Teacher = Associate+ in ECE + 1 yr exp (or Bachelor's/Master's)
• Assistant Teacher = High school diploma + ECE coursework/experience preferred
• Fluent French & English (Lead Teacher)
• Fluent French (all child interactions) (Assistant Teacher)
• Oregon Food Handler's Card
• Central Background Check Registry
• Adult & Pediatric First Aid and CPR
• Health & Safety, Abuse Recognition, Foundations for Learning, Safe Sleep trainings
• Conscious Discipline (within 90 days)

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver French immersion curriculum
• Document each child's progress and growth
• Mentor your assistant teacher
• Own family partnerships and engagement
• Support daily routines and learning activities
• Lead family communications and check-ins
• Reflect on your own French immersion practice
• Participate in classroom planning and PFA team goals
