About The Position

The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping young children learn through play, exploration, creativity, and hands-on experiences. You’ll work as part of a supportive teaching team to create a classroom where children build confidence, independence, friendships, and important early learning skills.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements

Nice To Haves

Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood experience preferred
CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus, but not required
Patient, dependable, energetic, and nurturing
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging Preschool classroom
Implement age-appropriate learning activities and The Learning Experience’s L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Engage children through art, music, movement, literacy, sensory play, and hands-on learning
Support children’s language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
Encourage independence, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships
Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive guidance
Observe children’s development and celebrate individual milestones
Build positive relationships and communicate with families
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
