Preschool Teacher Assistant
About The Position
Little Lukes is seeking Assistant Teachers to support their daycare classrooms in an inclusion preschool setting. The mission of Little Lukes is to build a bright future for every child by bringing extraordinary care and education to children in their community. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work with a team of Certified Lead Teachers and Special Education Teachers to support the children in their care, ages 3 to 5 years. This role involves providing exceptional care and instruction, supporting the development and education of preschool children, and preparing them for kindergarten through various interactions. The Assistant Teacher will also help create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment, implement effective classroom management, and reinforce classroom expectations and routines.

Responsibilities
- Support the development and education of preschool children, ages 3 to 5 years, within our Inclusive classrooms alongside a Lead Teacher and Special Education Teacher.
- Assists in teaching developmentally appropriate academic and social skills to prepare children for kindergarten through strong, language-based, whole group, small group, and one-on-one interactions.
- Help to create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment where children are encouraged to be curious and excited to learn.
- Implement effective classroom management.
- Help to set and reinforce classroom expectations and routines.
