Preschool Teacher Assistant
About The Position
Little Lukes is seeking Assistant Teachers to support their daycare classrooms. In this role, you will work with a team of Certified Lead Teachers and Special Education Teachers to support the children in our care. You will provide exceptional care and instruction, supporting the development and education of preschool children, ages 3 to 5 years, within inclusive classrooms. This involves assisting in teaching developmentally appropriate academic and social skills to prepare children for kindergarten through language-based interactions. You will also help to create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment, implementing effective classroom management and reinforcing expectations and routines.

Responsibilities
- Support the development and education of preschool children, ages 3 to 5 years, within our Inclusive classrooms alongside a Lead Teacher and Special Education Teacher.
- Assists in teaching developmentally appropriate academic and social skills to prepare children for kindergarten through strong, language-based, whole group, small group, and one-on-one interactions.
- Help to create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment where children are encouraged to be curious and excited to learn.
- Implement effective classroom management.
- Help to set and reinforce classroom expectations and routines.
