About The Position
Lake Area Discovery Center is hiring a Preschool Classroom Support / After School Manager for our high-quality early childhood program located at Valley of Peace Lutheran Church in Golden Valley. This is a full-time, year-round position working 35+ hours per week, Monday–Friday from 10:00 AM–5:30 PM. We are seeking a dedicated early childhood professional who enjoys supporting preschool classrooms, building relationships with children and families, and leading a safe, engaging after-school preschool program.
Requirements
- Must meet Minnesota DHS Lead Teacher qualifications for education and experience
- Experience in early childhood education, preschool, childcare, or child development preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Passion for working with young children in a play-based learning environment
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support in toddler and preschool classrooms
- Assist with daily program operations and classroom management
- Serve as Site Manager and Preschool Lead Teacher for the After-School Preschool Program from 3:00–5:30 PM
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a nurturing, positive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
- Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and administration
